Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, born in Wellington,) is the name of a Canadian actress from Canada. Paquin is a native of Winnipeg, raised in Wellington and made her debut in the role of Flora McGrath when she played the role of Flora McGrath in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 to be the Best Supporting Actress. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin was born on July 24, 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster in the category of Best Supporting actress for portraying the bright and curious girl who played Holly Hunter's lead part in The Piano. The role as Flora McGrath - the daughter to a Scottish muffle pianist in New Zealand at mid-19th Century was a part she won when she attended an audition open to all. When she was nine years old, she had little or no experience acting. In her teens, Paquin made the move to America. Paquin started her acting career in the midst of her childhood with a character in the Jane Eyre main character in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre, and then an important role of Fly Away Home. Paquin played Frankie Addams, a character from Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in 1997 in which she played the queen of Spain in a smaller role. She played teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000) and A Walk on the Moon (2000). She portrayed her character groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
